Jazz concert “Wolfgang’s Wail” set at Weatherford College

Artist in Residence Hyeyoung Song to perform“Get ready to clap your hands, tap your feet and whistle a tune on your way home!” said Cal Lewiston, Weatherford College’s Fine Arts
and Communication chair and the director of the upcoming annual fall jazz concert.
The concert includes classic jazz and blues repertoire by composers the likes of Count Basie, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Quincy Jones and Stan Kenton performed by the WC Jazz Band.
Also featured is the premiere of an adaptation by Lewiston of the main themes from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Symphony No. 40 in G Minor,” hence the concert’s title, on which Ms. Song will perform.
The concert is free to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Alkek Fine Arts Center on the College’s Weatherford campus Tuesday, Nov. 27. Doors open at 7 p.m.
